Sometimes I Cook

Actually I cook alot, but since I've been on bed rest I took a lil break from the kitchen. I was missing it a lot so this past weekend I decided to get back in the game and made a delish greek inspired Mac and Cheese the recipe was pulled from my all time favorite cooking blog Annie's Eats .

Here are some pictures I took while cooking:

 It was BEYOND delish! Though super filling, next time I'll for sure serve it with a veggie dish or a salad as well.

It was a pretty dreary and rainy weekend, so I got down to business and finaly put in my new fusion extensions! Pictures and blog about it in the next few days! I'm pretty stoked they look awesome!

Getting Crafty Again

Since I have had to be away from my husband to come back to Canada and have surgery and get treatment I have been missing him alot. It's clearly a really tough spot to be in so I thought It would be really cute to make him a littel suprise to make him smile. I came across this idea online where you take a deck of cards and put a reason why you love someone on all the 52 cards and then use the jokers as the top and bottom to kind of create a book.

I got started by typing out this list on my computer :

Then I printed it all out and cut out each saying along with come words for the top cover and some words for the last card in the deck. I was ready to put it all together here were my supplies:

Then I used the whole punch to punch out two holes on each card that lined all the way through the deck so that they could eventually be tied together to create a little book.

I pasted all the reasons on card by card and added cute little stickers and sayings to go along with each one:

Then i just cut some ribbon, laced it through the holes tied it in a bow and I was all done:

I'm pretty stoked on how cute it turned out. Can't wait to see how much he likes it!

I went out this afternoon to go pick up my super cute new shoes to go along with that floral dress I just bought for the wedding in July. I took a picture but they don't look half as cute as they really are lol. The white part is patent leather and the  bottom part is actual wood! Just need to find an awesome little hand bag to go with it and I'm set

Next on my DIY list is to stud out something on hopefully a baby denim jacket if I can find one as a present for the most awesome soon to be rock and roll mom on earth!

Franken belly

 Figured I would  write you guys a quick little post bout how I'm doing. It's been a week and a half since I had to had surgery.

I was checked into the hospital two days before that because they found a giant growth in my stomach. 14cm at it's largest point to be exact which is scary to even think about. They removed the parts of it that hadn't attached its self to my organs. The rest was too risky to try and remove as it could have led to cutting into my organs due to the way it was attached to them. Soooo I am now left with half of this scary thing inside me.

I go to the doctors at the end of the month to see what the labs have come back to show it was. Depending on what it is I will most likely be on a course of treatments and pills to try and shrink what remains of it in the hopes that it will help to distance it's self from my organs at which point they will have to go back in and clean up what is left. That is if all goes as planned lol so wish me luck, it's gonna be a tough year for me.

I will start blogging at m usual rate once I feel a little more like myself again but for now here is Franken Belly in all it's current glory lol

(obviously it had to go right through my fucking tattoo lol)

Soooo I had a tough week and a half but got to come home from the hospital to a magical new banner for my blog!!! It's pretty much perfect for me and I'm sooooo in love with it!

Sick Little Bird

 Alright since everyone on twitter has been asking I figured I'd explain whats up here. So in January 2009 I was in alot of pain daily. It took a few months the diagnosed me, I had some procedures done and this all a few weeks before leaving for the states. We figured it wasall taken care of.

Well as it turns out what I had diagnosed was just an underlying problem of something much worse. As I have been getting sicker and in more pain with each passing week. Since I clearly have pre existing conditions, I cannot be covered under my husbands retarded American health care plan. And the specialists and procedures I need to have done are all far to expensive to be paying out of pocket when I can just fly home to Canada and have it all done for free.

Sadly though this pushes our plans to move to Canada ahead way to fast. We have not saved as much as we would like to and I clearly won't be able to work in Canada and Nathan's paperwork is just in it's beginning stages for him to be able to work in Canada. So as heartbreaking as it is I am going to have to be apart form him for a few months. While he finishes out our lease here and ties up loose ends.

So no I am not getting divorced or deported. And yes I love my husband very much, but I won't be doing him much good 6 feet under. Health comes above all else. SO I'll be heading back to Canada withing the next month. Looks like I'm in for another lonely summer in the Okanagan. BLAH

In other news, me and the hubby had quite the lazy weekend. I ended up sick and not being able to breath out my nose the same day he ended up having to have two teeth pulled! We made a bed in the living room and watched movies, ate soup and had popsicles all weekend lol. I'm feeling much better though so all the  rest and relaxation paid off!!

Trauma Is Art

 I shot with the ever awesome Bryan Barnes of  Trauma Is Art early in the year with some lovely  latex from Hello Dolly! That day me and Brian decided no latex shoots should go without a lube tech, it's messy business! While changing back in to normal clothes I was almost  discovered naked by a homless man. Illicit Clothing

Back in June I had the pleasure of being tattooed by Erin Chance at the NIX convention in Toronto hosted by tattoos.com . She was there with a friend who I got to know over the course of being tattooed who works for Illicit Clothing. He decided to send me and Nathan out a box of stuff from their line to shoot in! The big 2-5!

Soooo This old bird just celebrated a brithday this month! I turned 25, and possibly had a mid life crisis lol.

But I was lucky enough to have some amazing friends around to help me celebrate! Mary and Tayte came down from LA for the weekend. Plus Drew, Nikki and Swindle were heading over to celebrate! I of course made some cupcakes for the party. We all had a few drinks at our place then headed off to Beauty Bar where Drew had an awesome lil suprise for me set up! VIP section and bottles of champagne on ice!!!!




























































































































































Drew is so wonderful she also tattooed me for me birthday the week prior. SOOOOO in love with both of them, here is what I got...




































Annnnd once every one was gone and the weekend had died down, me and Nathan headed to the movies to see Alice in Wonderland in 3D. It was all I asked for for my birthday and it was perfect!

Alright so first things first!

Me and Nathan were married on October 31st 2009, the wedding day was the most perfect gorgeous weather I ever could have hoped for! I was lucky enough to have our good friend Jesse of Destroy Inc. shoot our wedding!

I promised a post with wedding pictures SOOOOOO long ago and never came through cause of my lifeless laptop! So this post is all about love and wedding magic! I still only have a few images (as have yet to sort through the 2000 images to choose the ones I want edited) but heres what I got!










































































































































































It was the most amazing day of my life. The reception was small and magical. My dad played our first dance song acoustin on the guitar. I cried like a baby. It was The Whole Wide World by Wreckless Eric and probly the most romantic moment of my life.
